THOMAS ENEMARK LUNDTOFTE

Thomas Enemark Lundtofte is a PhD fellow in Media Studies at the University of Southern Denmark. Thomas researches children’s practices with media. This encompasses digital technologies as well as film and television, literary texts, toys, etc. He aims to understand what children find meaningful themselves, and this perspective has led him to focus on play practices in most of his research. Playing is closely tied to imagining and blurring the lines between what is possible and what is not. Media and digital technologies are part of these cultural practices – across age segmentations – and allow us to imagine on our own and together in groups of varying shapes and sizes.
